Government is working to speed up immigration processes at airports by introducing biometric-based immigration and e-gates. Delhi’s IGIA will be India’s first global hub and will trial biometric-based immigration. The government is exploring solutions from Singapore and Canada airport models and discussing new technologies and airport interior design to expedite processes for international air travellers.
