Wicketkeeper-batsman Jurel, who replaced KS Bharat in India’s eleven, impressed by playing a patient knock of 46 off 104 balls on Day 2 of the third Test against England in Rajkot, while adding 77 runs for the eighth wicket with Ravichandran Ashwin. He was initially trained by the famous cricket coach Phool Chand.
