Gautam Gambhir, a former Indian cricketer, was recently interviewed by the BCCI’s Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) for the role of the Indian national team’s head coach. The interview took place on Tuesday, following Gambhir’s successful stint as the mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders, leading them to an IPL title. It is widely anticipated that Gambhir will take over from Rahul Dravid, the current head coach, who is set to resign from his position after the Indian team’s campaign in the T20 World Cup, which will be held in the Americas.
