Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez criticized England skipper Jos Buttler for suggesting no international cricket should be scheduled during the IPL. Buttler, who left IPL 2024 early for an England T20I series, argued that prioritizing national duty before the World Cup is essential. Michael Vaughan and Adam Gilchrist supported Buttler, highlighting the IPL’s significance and its impact on domestic cricket. Hafeez, however, found Buttler’s remarks shocking, stressing that national pride should take precedence over IPL commitments.
