After a four-year pause, the Indian government has announced the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) on Monday. The CAA aims to expedite the process of granting citizenship to undocumented migrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan who are not of the Muslim faith. This Act specifically targets Hindus, Jains, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Parsis who entered India on or before December 31, 2014.
