The first day of the global investor meet here saw mega investments in renewable energy, electronics and automobiles for Tamil Nadu. The Tata Group alone is investing close to Rs 67,000 crore in the state across its group companies in power & electronics. In a shot in the arm for TN’s renewable energy goals, Tata Power is making a Rs 55,000 crore investment to set up 10 GW of renewable energy projects with a mix of solar power and wind energy in the next 5-7 years.
