India’s meteorological satellite Insat-3DS has initiated Earth imaging operations, improving weather monitoring and forecasting capabilities. Developed by Isro’s Space Applications Centre (SAC), the satellite’s advanced meteorological payloads capture images of the Earth’s surface and atmosphere. The payloads generate over 40 geophysical data products, providing valuable data on atmospheric constituents, temperature variations, cloud and aerosol monitoring, and land surface temperature.
