The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has issued new policy guidance for international students in F and M visa status, providing clarity on various topics such as eligibility requirements, school transfers, practical training, and employment. The guidance includes two significant clarifications. Firstly, students in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields are now eligible for an additional two years of Optional Practical Training (OPT), making it a total of three years of post-study work experience.
