On Thursday, the iconic Mahendra Singh Dhoni formally handed over the captaincy reins to Ruturaj Gaikwad on the eve of the IPL 2024 season opener against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Gaikwad, who boasts six ODIs and 19 T20Is for India, made his debut for CSK in 2020 and has since featured in 52 matches for the franchise.
