Boeing 737 MAX aircraft operated by Indian carriers, including Air India Express, SpiceJet, and Akasa, were subjected to safety checks after a loose bolt was found in one plane. Boeing instructed operators globally to inspect specific tie rods controlling rudder movement for potential loose hardware. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) confirmed rectification actions were taken before releasing the aircraft for service.
