President Droupadi Murmu nominated educationist Satnam Singh Sandhu as a Rajya Sabha member, filling one of the two vacant seats under the nomination category for over 20 months. Sandhu, founder-chancellor of Chandigarh University, expressed gratitude to PM Narendra Modi and pledged to work towards strengthening efforts for ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
