The National Testing Agency (NTA) is considering discontinuing score normalization for CUET-UG’s third edition, aiming for a shorter, hybrid examination with OMR sheets and computer-based tests. UGC Chairman M. Jagadesh Kumar highlights plans for fair, nationwide test accessibility, limiting students to six papers for easier scheduling. The exam’s moderate difficulty aims to reduce coaching reliance and boost students’ self-efficacy. With the hybrid model, results can be expected by mid-June, facilitating timely admissions and academic commencement.
