Several northern Indian states, including Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, and Bihar, have declared school holidays due to the prevailing cold wave conditions, dense fog, and low temperatures. In Chandigarh, all classes up to 8th grade in government, government-aided, and private schools are suspended until January 20, 2024.
