In response to the increasing problem of persistent pesky calls and financial frauds, the government is cracking down on mobile operators. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) has levied a fine of Rs 110 crore on operators as a “financial disincentive.” Additionally, the government has successfully recovered almost Rs 1,000 crore that was embezzled by cybercriminals.
